This is a little something I’m literally just learning at the ripe age of 25. I’m not really sure what exactly I’m ‘ripe’ for but that’s just something I hear people say, so there you go.
NO ONE KNOWS WHAT THE HELL THEY’RE DOING WITH THEIR LIVES. Or where their lives will be in 5 years ~dreaded interview question~
When I was younger (read: yesterday), I thought that everyone else had everything figured out and I was the only one looking for something, anything to grasp on to. But nope, turns out everyone else is just as floppily floundering. Okay, maybe not EVERYONE (there are those rarities who have known they were going to be doctors from the age of 2), but I think for most of us, we sort of know the general direction, and the rest is just figuring it out as we go along.
[As seen from the Howth Cliff Walk – yes, you should definitely go]
So I didn’t want to include this in myYou Should Probably Get Your Ass to Ireland guide because that would be really long. (But you should probably read that, too, because it’s chock full of information and hilariousness.)
OKAY. So let’s talk logistics and other super duper fun things.
[Scenery from Slea Head Drive – read on for more info on that!]
Ireland is soooo much more than Dublin! When I hear that people only went there it literally pains me (especially because I was not the biggest fan of Dublin). I’d say spend like 2-3 days in Dublin (depending on what you want to do) and after that get the heck out of there! IMO it’s overpriced and overcrowded with tourists (especially Temple Bar area – avoid at night at all costs!!!!). And also – yessss I’m that girl that went to Ireland a year ago and is STILL talking about it. Ugh. But if you read on, you’ll understand why…And also, why not start off with a bang with one of my favorite places ever? Want to learn more about the logistics of getting around, currency, where to stay, etc.? Go here.
OH hello there blogosphere. How I’ve missed ya!
It’s been a while but I’m v excited to be back with travel thoughts, eco-friendliness, and general life fun.
